Cast members of HBO's "The Wire" will be in Virginia this week for a nonpartisan voter initiative.

Beginning today, "Wire" actors Wendell Pierce, Sonja Sohn, Michael K. Williams and Jamie Hector will join the National Urban League and the National Coalition for Black Civic Participation for stops in Alexandria, Richmond, the Petersburg area and Norfolk.

The goal of the bus tour is to increase voter turnout on Election Day.

Tomorrow, the "Vote to Empower!" rally and bus tour will stop at Toad's Place at noon; at 3 p.m., the rally and a step show takes place at the Virginia Commonwealth University Student Commons; and at 7 p.m., another rally and step show pulls into Daniel Gymnasium at Virginia State University.
