The Hanover County Department of Social Services will accept applications for the fuel-assistance program tomorrow through Nov. 14.

The program helps people with the cost of heating their homes. Applications are available at the Social Services Department, 12304 Washington Highway, or call (804) 365-4100 to have an application mailed to you.

The department also offers a crisis assistance program in the event of a heating emergency.

Crisis applications for repairs will be accepted Nov. 1 through March 15. Crisis applications for fuel costs will be accepted Jan. 2 through March 15.
